I'VE BEEN CARRYING AROUND THIS FEAR FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS,
I'M AFRAID OF HAVING A FALSE SENSE OF PROGRESSION.
AS IT'S WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE, IF NOTHING IS NEW UNDER THE SUN, THEN IS THERE ANY SUCH THING AS CHANGE? TRANSFORMATION? PROGRESSION? OR IS IT ALL FOR NAUGHT?
IF EVERYTHING GOES IN CYCLES, CIRCLES, LOOPS, WHOSE TO SAY I WON'T END UP MAKING THE MISTAKES OF THOSE AROUND ME? WHOSE TO SAY I WON'T REPEAT THE MISTAKES OF MY ELDERS?
I'M AFRAID NOT OF CHANGE, BUT BEING LET DOWN BY THE CONCEPT OF CHANGE, OF BELIEVING THAT I COULD POSSIBLY CHANGE IN A WORLD THAT THRIVES ON REPEATING ITSELF. THAT THRIVES ON BEING COMPLETELY UNAWARE OF ITSELF.
